During the Summer Streets Event major roads including Park Avenue are shut to traffic over three weekends in August.

Rental bikes are already a popular feature in cities like Paris and Copenhagen. This summer it´s New York’s turn to get more than 10 000 rental bikes to be deployed at 600 sites around the city.
Central Park is an obvious place to ride but you can also ride along the Hudson River, from Battery Park in Downtown all the way up to Harlem.

Here are two nice jogging tracks, both with river views.
Hudson Riverfront Park – the place to choose for running if you live in on the west side of Manhattan and around Chelsea, West Village, Tribeca and Meatpacking.
The other jogging track is perfect if you are based in the Lower East Side. The you run just down to the River and along East River Waterfront Park/Esplanade. Just follow the jogging track and it will take you under Brooklyn Bridge.
