Flatiron Building

Flatiron Building
Flatiron Building, the building that looks like an old-fashioned flat iron. It´s a classic New York building that is fun to take photos of from different angles.

Interesting facts is that skeptics vowed it would never withstand the notoriously windy corner where Fifth Ave. and Broadway cross paths. In the end, the 3,680-ton steel structure—one of the earliest of its kind—proved them wrong and its success became a catalyst for further development and uptown expansion.

In the park next door – Madison Square Park – is one of New York’s most popular sausage and hamburger places, the iconic Shake Shack.

Opposite is our favorite food heaven – Eataly. Don´t miss it.
