Brooklyn is actually larger than one might think. After Manhattan it is the most densely populated neighborhood with almost 3 million people and several neighborhoods – the nicest ones located along the East River.

Brooklyn Heights with its charming brownstone houses is a quaint area that has a walkway with stunning views of downtown Manhattan.

Below is the waterfront Brooklyn Bridge Park where you can have walk, enjoy a picnic or listen to a concert. One of New York’s best hotels is here – 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge. From the rooms you have a spectacular view of the bridge and Downtown Manhattan.

If you continue past the Brooklyn Bridge, you’ll get to another cool area: DUMBO (Down Under Manhattan Bridge)

But I have to admit; my favorite area is still hip Williamsburg with its many great hotels.
On Bedford or Flatbush Avenue, are plenty of trendy shops, cool bars and brunch places with relaxed atmosphere.

The Look Red Hook Hotel

Situated on the Brooklyn waterfront, Red Hook is a place full of character, where an old, industrial past meets a rich and vibrant present. Historic red brick factories have been converted into charming art galleries, boutique shops, and famous eateries, giving the former industrial buildings new life. At sunset, these relics – which now host a thriving night life – create a beautiful backdrop for strolls down the street, or in the parks along New York Bay.

The Wythe

Wythe Hotel opened in 2012 on the Williamsburg waterfront as the first hotel in Brooklyn to reflect and celebrate the creative spirit of our Borough. It’s located in a 116 year old factory building that has been meticulously converted into a 70-room hotel – with King Kong skyline views from many rooms. The rooftop bar – The Ides – is popular for sunset cocktails and for its picture postcard views of the New York City skyline.
